Class of 2026

On behalf of the Class of 2026, please find the link below to donate to our Year 12 team for the upcoming World's Greatest Shave in Week 8 of this Term. Our team has a number of Year 12 students (currently at 65 students) shaving their head to raise funds and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Blood cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian children, and the team is looking to do their bit in raising funds and awareness for the cause. Every donation big or small makes a massive difference and we would very much appreciate anything you may be able to contribute.

The Performing Arts were proudly on display at this week's Performing Arts Assembly, celebrating the incredible talent, creativity and dedication of students across Music, Drama, Dance, Choral and Pipes and Drums.

We enjoyed powerful performances, original compositions and the presentation of leadership positions and Performing Arts honours, the morning highlighted the important role the arts play in building confidence and expression within our College community.

A special congratulations to all students recognised throughout the Assembly and thank you to our dedicated staff and families who continue to support the growth of Performing Arts at Trinity College.

Debating

2 Wins in Round 3!

In one of the toughest rounds of the WADL Debating Competition - the first of the impromptu rounds, where students have only one hour to prepare - it was pleasing to see Trinity’s Novice and Senior teams both emerge victorious on Wednesday night.

The Trinity College Novice Team, comprising of avid debaters Archie Turner (7.8), Cristian Zampatti (7.8) and Nolan Morch (7.1) took on the Affirmative team from Perth Modern School, debating on the topic: This house prefers pass/ fail grades instead of a tiered grading system (A – E grades), for Years 1 to 10.

With just one hour to prepare, the boys brainstormed a range of engaging points that explored student growth and development, the importance of nuanced feedback and why the tiered system was a more effective way of gauging student performance. During the debate, all three students spoke confidently, offered thoughtful rebuttals and secured their 3rd win of the season! Well done to Trinity’s Novice team who remain undefeated!

Later that evening, the Trinity College Senior Team took on Wesley College’s Team 2, debating in the Affirmative on the topic: This house prefers the ACT model of ATAR calculation to the WA model. Experienced debaters Bailey Thomas (12.7), Arnav Dakhane (12.1) and Bowie McCabe (12.7) worked collaboratively during their hour-long preparation to develop a cohesive set of strong arguments for their debate. They spoke with aplomb and challenged their opposition’s arguments with some sharp and insightful POIs; steadily gaining the upper hand as the debate progressed and ultimately cinching the win

Well done to both teams for their preparation and performance on the night and we look forward to more over the coming weeks!
