Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!
Welcome to Week 9 of Term 2!
Only two weeks of term to go, wowee! This week has gone so fast with Monday being a public holiday for the King's Birthday. Funny it being the King’s birthday this week, the theme is ‘Royal Week’. On Tuesday we had a lot of fun making our own amazing and cool crowns that over 50 children decorated and wore. It was quite funny see so many students run around with their own crowns on their head. 😊 We are continuing the theme this week with colouring competitions and making your own King or Queen with a matching coronation tea set. Outside, soccer once again has the key favourite sport to play with gaga ball starting to become more and more popular, especially when staff join in. We have been very lucky this week to avoid any wet weather conditions in the afternoon but have started to bring the children in earlier at night due to the cold setting in and becoming quite dark as well. We are all very excited for the upcoming last two weeks of term and can't wait for what’s ahead.
Pancake Wednesday has become even more popular than cheese toastie Friday with over 27 students attending this week. We are so happy the children have enjoyed having a special breakfast option and look forward to continuing this for the rest of the year.
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Miles Wright For demonstrating amazing maturity while playing soccer with the young preps and ensuring they are always okay, especially when hurt. Well done Miles! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊
Gosh our little preps are doing well!! We are so proud to say that the prep children have been amazing and have shown great confidence walking over to TheirCare every afternoon. It has also been amazing to see preps helping each other and making sure their classmates aren’t being left behind especially if they are new to TheirCare. Please note that they leave their classroom at 3:15pm so they have enough time to transit, and they are being supervised by one of our TheirCare staff. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to discuss them with us.
As the term is about to end, we are getting closer to our Winter Holiday Program! As mentioned last week, we have four massive excursions for this Holiday Program where we will be going to the Movies, Super Park, Rolling Skate Arena and even going to the 3D Dino Museum.
This Friday the 14th of June in after-school care, we will be celebrating the “Mission Starlight” at TheirCare. Please join us in supporting Starlight Foundation as our WeCare charity in Term 2. We have prepared a variety of fun activities for that afternoon along with our normal activities.
