School Success Starts with Attendance

Dear Students and Parents,

As the school year progresses, it's crucial to remember that every single day counts! Attending school regularly is a key factor in academic success, personal growth, and future opportunities. We continue to have a whole school focus on increasing and maintaining high attendance for every student.

The Importance of Regular Attendance

  1. Academic Achievement: Students who attend school regularly are more likely to keep up with daily lessons and assignments. Missing even a single day can mean falling behind in key concepts, which can affect grades and comprehension.
  2. Social Skills Development: School is not just about academics; it's also where students develop essential social skills. Regular attendance helps students build relationships with peers and teachers, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  3. Preparation for the Future: Consistent attendance patterns established during school years lay the foundation for future habits in college and the workplace. Employers and higher education institutions value reliability and punctuality.

Top Reasons to Come to School

  1. Learn New Things: Every day is a new adventure in learning. From reading fascinating stories to discovering the wonders of the world, each day at school is packed with fun and interesting lessons.
  2. Hang Out with Friends: School is the perfect place to make new friends and hang out with your buddies. Playing games at recess, working on group projects and sharing laughs make school days fun.
  3. Cool Activities: There are so many activities to join! Whether you love sports, music, art, or movies, there’s something for everyone. Lots of fun specialist classes and lunch time clubs are always happing at school. Being at school every day means you won't miss out on these awesome opportunities.
  4. Get Help When You Need It: If you’re having trouble with homework or just need someone to talk to, your teachers and other school staff are always here to help. Coming to school every day means you’ll get the support you need to succeed.

The school wide Attendance Team have been working hard to make school enjoyable for everyone. We want to give every student every opportunity to be successful throughout their school lives and prepare them for success as global citizens. Not only do we have fun lunch time activities for students, we have also had our 'Ride to School Day', and just recently our 'Walk to School Day'. We look forward to bringing you more activities and seeing all of our students smiling faces.
