Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Carers

What a wonderful term we have had. Congratulations to our Foundation students on completing their first term of school. It has been great to see our Foundation students settle into school routines and the progress they have made. I would also like to say thank you to all our staff and students for the way in which they have embraced the changes with Magnify this term. So much hard work has been done by staff to implement these changes, and the way in which students have responded is to be commended.

Congratulations also to the Year Four students who organised the Bake Sale last Friday. This was a huge success and a great initiative from these students.

Easter Liturgy

Given the timing of Easter and School Holidays, we will be having a short Easter Reflection Monday, 28th April, at the beginning of the school day. All are welcome to come along.

Tuesday Closure Day

Yesterday, as a staff, we all attended a Masterclass run by the Knowledge Society. This was focussed on our new Behaviour Curriculum. Next term, we will be implementing some changes to our daily routines, such as entry and exit routines, with more to come. These changes will assist in smooth transitions throughout the school and entering learning spaces calmly, ready to learn.

Term Two, Week One- Closure Days

A reminder that the three days between Easter Monday and ANZAC Day are School Closure Days. Staff will be onsite, with a focus on the Science of Learning, which will be taking place across Catholic Education Sandhurst.

Golden Horseshoe Parade

We encourage all students who are in town to join us for the parade on Saturday, 19th April.

Please see the flyer in the Parent Engagement.

This is always a great event and the more involved the more fun it is!

ANZAC Day Parade

We invite all students to join us for the ANZAC day Parade, Friday 25th April, 11:00 am. (More details will be sent closer to the date.) We have had great attendance at this event over the years. I am always proud to see our students march in school uniform and show how reflective they are.

Camp

Thank you to those parents who have returned the paperwork sent home for camp last week. Students are certainly getting excited about our Canberra Camp. I was discussing with 5/6 this morning that we won’t know who our Prime Minister will be until the weekend prior to our visit due to the election! Exciting times.

Sacraments

This year, we will work with the Parish and families to prepare students for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. If your child has undertaken the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we welcome you to join us in this preparation.

The Sacraments will take place on Sunday, 29th June, at 9:00 am mass.

There will be an Information Session for your child and a parent on Wednesday, 30th April, at 6:00 pm at the school.

If you could please confirm your interest via email by Wednesday, 2nd April.
