STAFF APPRECIATION DAY

We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Day on Friday, October 18. This special day is dedicated to recognizing and honouring the incredible efforts of our teachers and staff who work tirelessly to support the learning and growth of our students.

Their dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence are truly outstanding, and we want to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks.

We encourage all students and families to join us in showing appreciation for the remarkable contributions our staff make each and every day.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT AND 50 YEAR CELEBRATION

Under 8's Day

We had a fantastic time at Under 8's Day, filled with fun activities that the children absolutely loved! A special thank you to Billy Jaz from McGrath Real Estate Palm Beach for generously donating ice blocks for all the children to enjoy. Your support truly highlights the strength of our community, making the day even more special!

SCHOOL UNIFORM

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of our school uniform policy, which includes the requirement for all students to wear black shoes as part of their uniform.

Wearing the correct uniform helps promote a sense of belonging and pride in our school, and we appreciate your support in ensuring that all students adhere to this policy.

Please ensure that your child is wearing all black shoes to school each day, without any logos or coloured accents, as outlined in our guidelines.

HELMETS ON BIKES AND SCOOTERS

As part of our commitment to keeping everyone safe, I’d like to remind all families about the importance of wearing helmets when riding to and from school. Whether students are riding bikes, scooters, or e-bikes, wearing a helmet is essential to protect against serious injury in case of an accident.

I also encourage parents and caregivers to model this safety behaviour by wearing helmets themselves. If you're doubling with children on e-bikes, please make sure they are also wearing helmets. We would hate to see anyone involved in a serious incident that could have been prevented.

It’s great to see that so many parents of our students at Palm Beach State School have registered for QParents already.

Look out for an invitation to join, it will be in your email inbox.   Links to join QParents only last for a short amount of time. If the link doesn’t work, please wait until we send you another email asking you to join.

Swimming Carnival 9 - 12 Years

If your child is in the 9-12 years age bracket, they would have received an expression of interest/parent consent form in week 1 regarding the upcoming swimming carnival that will be held on Friday the 8th of November. This carnival is a nomination only carnival and is not compulsory for all students

If your child would like to participate in the carnival, they must be able to swim 50m as the new pool at the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre does not have the removable bulk head to allow for 25m races.

Permission forms are due back this Thursday the 17th of October. Invoices will be sent out to those families who have nominated and returned parent consent forms.

This is an exciting time for those students who wish to apply for a position next year.
