Grade 1 & 2

As we come to the end of a very busy 11-week term, our Year 1/2 students should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. Over the past few weeks, they have continued to work hard right up until the end, with the length of the term really testing their focus and resilience as we wrapped up the year together.

In the classroom, students have been exploring persuasive writing, learning how to share their opinions clearly and give reasons to support their ideas. We have also spent time consolidating the many skills and concepts covered throughout the year, revisiting them in fun and engaging ways to celebrate just how much the children have learned. A special highlight was finishing our class novel The BFG, which sparked lots of excitement, imagination and great discussion.

It was a joy to see the students shine during our Christmas Carols - they performed beautifully and sang with such confidence and enthusiasm. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how far they have all come, both academically and socially, over the year.

Thank you to all families for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership throughout the year. It truly makes a difference. We wish you all a safe, happy and relaxing holiday break and look forward to seeing the children return refreshed and ready for a new year of learning.
