Welcome back to Term 2!
I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and had the opportunity to recharge with family and friends. It has been a pleasure to see our students return with such enthusiasm and positivity. Already, there is a strong sense of focus and community across the school, and we’re proud of the excellent start our students have made.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the entire school community for your patience and understanding during the ongoing perimeter fencing works. We acknowledge the temporary inconveniences this may cause and appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve the safety and security of our school grounds.
As we move into the cooler months, we kindly remind families to ensure students are wearing the correct school uniform, including school-approved jackets and jumpers. Maintaining our uniform expectations supports a sense of unity and pride among our students.
A highlight from the past week was the Year 6 Camp to Anglesea, where our student’s demonstrated independence, resilience, and fantastic teamwork as they navigated various activities including canoeing, the giant swing and the vertical climb. A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who made this opportunity possible.
Looking ahead, our Year 4 students are gearing up for their camp to Lady Northcote.
We know this will be another enriching experience and encourage all families to ensure consent and payment are completed via the Compass platform as soon as possible. Your support in meeting deadlines helps ensure a smooth and well-organised event for all involved.
We are also excited to announce our upcoming Community Picnic, to be held onsite at school on Wednesday, 21st May from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our school community. We warmly invite you to join us for an afternoon of connection and fun.
Thank you to our dedicated Parents & Friends (P&F) team for coordinating the Election Day BBQ and the much-loved Mother’s Day Stall. Your commitment and efforts are deeply appreciated and make a meaningful difference to the life of our students and our school.
Wishing everyone a productive and positive term ahead!
Warm regards,
Chris Johns
