TheirCare News

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Hello Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Friends,
Welcome to Week 3 of Term 3
We’ve had a fantastic start to the week here at TheirCare, and it’s been made even better by the beautiful sunny weather! The positive energy is flowing, with children settling in smoothly, listening well, and showing great behaviour. So far, we’ve enjoyed a mix of fun and engaging activities including creative arts and crafts, outdoor games in the sunshine, and some quiet reading and puzzle time indoors. It’s shaping up to be another great week.
We hope everyone is feeling refreshed and ready for Term 3!
This week’s theme: Time Traveller Week!
The theme for this week is Time Traveller Week, and the children are absolutely loving the adventure through the ages, it’s been a fun and imaginative way to learn, play, and discover the past, present, and future!
· Create a Time Capsule – Children will draw or write about their favourite things and place them in a capsule to be "discovered" in the future.
· Ancient Egypt Hieroglyphics – Children will learn about ancient writing by using symbols to write their names or messages, just like the Egyptians did.
· Stone Circle Building – Using blocks and natural materials, children will build their own version of Stonehenge and learn about its history.
· Fortune Teller Ball – What Do You See? – A fun, imaginative activity where kids create and decorate a “fortune teller” ball and share their visions of the future.
Pupil of the Week
A big congratulations to Haruka Sato, our Pupil of the Week! Haruka has been an amazing help during pack-up time, always stepping in to support staff or peers without being asked. Her positive attitude and willingness to help others truly stand out. Well done, Haruka!👏💫
