Congratulations to our 2025 preppies on achieving their 100 days of school this week. There were many preppies dressed as yiayia, ba ngoai, nonna, nan, nanna, bluey grannies, papou, nonnos, grand dads and abuelos. We loved the decorated classrooms and the teacher's costumes.
Parents' Association meeting - Monday 25th of August 7pm-8pm 💻👩💻👨💻
We are hosting our last parents' association meeting for 2025 with the current committee on Monday 25th August from 7pm - 8pm with our first trial of an on-line meeting. Details will be provided via email to all current members of the parents' association, newsletter and the PA noticeboard (near the office) early next week.
If you've always wondered what goes on in these meetings or just want a little sticky beak - please join us at the online meeting.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held in September where FWPS leadership will join us, and we will be electing new office bearers for the 2026 parents' association committee. More details to come next week.
Uniform shop - Monday September 8th
The uniform shop is scheduled on Monday September 8th to run during pick-up time. The uniform shop plays an important role in our school community in providing an avenue for access to second hand school uniforms, some first hand items like winter beanies provides an environmental and sustainable reuse of our school uniform.
The school uniform shop is entirely run by volunteers from the sorting of donated stock (to ensure only suitable items are sold), the set up, pack up and cleaning and maintenance of the school uniform shipping container. The proceeds of the uniforms provide funds for the school.
With every uniform stall, we need volunteers for a short 45 min stint after school to run the shop. Kids are welcome to help and hang around. If you're looking for a small but important way to contribute to the FWPS uniform shop, this is a great opportunity.
