Intermediate Badminton – Geelong Schools Championships

It was a difficult job selecting the Intermediate team this year as there were over 60 students trying out for 14 places. The interest in this sport is very high and the talent at North Geelong just keeps improving every year.

Both the Boys and Girls teams won through to the Final against Northern Bay. The Boys never gave up and worked hard to win every point. Northern Bay had the edge and came out winners.

The North Geelong Girls team played an extremely close final and it was their composure and focus under pressure that got them the win – a fantastic result.

They are now the Geelong Champions and will play in the Western Metro Championships in Melbourne next Wednesday. We wish them well.
