Fortnightly SWPBS Focus
We had fantastic success with our recent fortnightly focus on the expected behaviour of Putting rubbish in the bin. Since introducing this focus, we’ve seen a remarkable reduction in rubbish around the school.
Throughout the week, our school captains conducted rubbish surveys in different areas of the yard, and the results were impressive. The standout improvement was on the oval from 40 pieces of rubbish on Monday down to just 12 pieces later in the week. Our goal is to reach zero pieces of rubbish across the school, and we’re well on our way.
As we continue to focus on respecting our outdoor spaces, we’re also introducing our new expected behaviour: “Wear school uniform appropriately and with pride.” This includes a strong focus on wearing hats when outside.
We’re looking forward to seeing the same positive impact with this focus as we did with our rubbish initiative and can’t wait to see every student wearing their hat proudly each day.
