Japanese

日本語

I feel like I finally got to know you very well, and then it is time to say さようなら ’Sayounara’ for Year 6 students. I had only one lesson every week for two years at St. Joseph Primary School since the beginning of last year. andI have to admit there were some challenging lessons, however, I had the most fantastic two years with you all. I will certainly miss your faces next year but I am sure that you will achieve and excel another new year for 2024 at High School.

In week 10,  we had a chance to make Japanese dumplings ぎょうざ ’Gyouza’ at the all-year levels and some of them had never tried them before. Gyoza are Japanese pan-fried dumplings that are crisp and golden on the bottom and juicy inside. These meat-filled treats are easy to fold and fun to make them. Unfortunately, I only managed to take some photos in Grades F,1,2, and 6. I was too busy steam-pan fried them and I was making sure everyone got to try them (some were not keen but they at least learned to make them).

I am looking forward to seeing you all next year to have more fun in Japanese class. Thank you all for letting me teach you and have a lovely holiday.
