Mental Health & Wellbeing Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to warmly welcome you back to Semester Two and keep you all updated on the wellbeing initiatives at the school.
Firstly, I would like to promote access to the 'Inspire Family Hub ', which all members of our school community can utilise as part of participation in the Resilience Project.
The hub provides families with access to short videos, helpful tips, and family-friendly ideas to encourage positive habits—not just for your kids, but for you as well: https://theresilienceproject.com.au/family-hub-1/
For new families who have recently joined our school community, there is a short welcome video below which outlines The Resilience Project and its aims in supporting the mental health of school-aged children. https://vimeo.com/1124702592/bf8fa700fd?ts=15000&share=copy
This term we will also be launching a small social skills group that will be run by our two onsite Youth Workers Ms Leah and Ms Bec. These sessions will run weekly and aim to support small groups in developing social skills. We look forward to seeing how this program develops over the term, with the plan being for the Youth Workers to extend the program over the course of the semester to enable more students to access this initiative.
As always, if you have any questions, queries or concerns around your child's wellbeing or mental health, please contact the office to organise a time to meet with the youth workers or me.
Thanks
Tyson Egan
Assistant Principle
