From the  Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week we hold in prayer all those affected by the recent tragedies in our state. We remember the police officers who lost their lives in Porepunkah, the officer who was injured and their grieving families and colleagues. We also pray for the young student who died in the bus crash near Geelong, those who were injured, their loved ones, and their school communities. We give thanks for the tireless dedication of the emergency services, police, paramedics, firefighters, medical staff and all who responded with compassion and courage in the face of tragedy.

In these moments of deep sadness, we place our trust in Christ, who walks with us in our suffering and offers comfort, hope and peace. May we continue to support one another with compassion and keep all those affected in our prayers.

Canvas & Quill Festival

The school is hive of creativity in preparation for our Canvas & Quill Festival next week. This will be a wonderful evening together to celebrate the learning of our students in many creative forms. Parents and families are invited to visit our classrooms between 6pm - 8pm on Wednesday 3rd September. We will gather in the hall for a formal welcome and a choir performance 7pm.

We would like to thank Marcellin College for their generosity in lending us the display boards to showcase our students' work. We look forward to seeing you there!

A Night in Italy - Trivia Night

This Saturday night is shaping up to be fabulous evening of fun, trivia and delicious food. Thank you to the PA for the huge amount of work they have done and to other families that have contributed in others ways to the event.

Father's Day Breakfast and Stall

The annual Father's Day breakfast is on next Thursday, this is a special time for students to share with their dad's, grandfathers or another significant person. The Father's Stall will take place during the school day on Thursday. More information about these events can be found on their pages in this newsletter.

Thank you to the PA for organising and running these events for our students and community.

Sun Smart and Hats

It's times to get out sun hats again. As a Sunsmart School students are required to wear hats from September through to April whenever they are outside. Please make sure your child starts bringing their hat school again ready for the start of September (next week!!!).

God Bless
