Occupational Health & Safety
~to protect the health, safety and welfare of employees~

The OH&S Committee meets twice per term. The composition includes the elected HSR and Deputy HSR, representatives from each sub-school, a rep from Admin/Therapy, the Principal, Assistant Principals and the OH&S Manager Nominee.
Thank you to our staff that participated in our annual First Aid Training. Please see attached First Aid Poster. Thank you to Nikki D who will be distributing the new posters (and removing the previous posters) around the school.
Dear Staff,
When a staff member has made a disclosure around their pregnancy, they should speak to their Sub School Leader and HR Manager to discuss their capacity for work and any adjustments that may be required to support safe work practices. A risk assessment may be undertaken to review duties such as manual handling, toileting support, yard duty, and other tasks where risks may be present.
Consent Forms will be available in Term 2/Week 3 (see Fiona)

BIOLOGICAL HAZARDS AND PPE
Staff should follow appropriate hygiene practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when there is a risk of exposure to biological hazards such as bodily fluids. This may include the use of gloves, masks, and strict hand hygiene when supporting students with toileting, nappy changing, or first aid. These practices help reduce the risk of exposure to infectious diseases and support safe work practices.
