Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,

THANKYOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

We have come to the end of a very busy term. It seems to have flown by but there was so much achieved in that time.

The Warrnambool Primary Parents Association were very active in supporting fund raising events and activities for us to enjoy at school.

Consider the following events which were not only fun but have raised money to be put towards our grounds improvement priorities.

Zooper Dooper Days, House Athletics Canteen, Easter Raffle, Hot Cross Bun Drive, Sausage Sizzle and Dance/School Picnic.

They have some great activities lined up for Term 2 so please continue to support them in their efforts once again.

Without the donations of time and money from our parent group these events wouldn’t proceed so thank you to everyone for assisting.

I would also like to thank the School Council for joining or continuing to join in activities across the school.

I hope you have a fantastic Easter break and get an opportunity to spend some quality time with your family and friends.

EASTER RAFFLE WINNERS

Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and donated items for the raffle. The 13 prizes were drawn at assembly on Monday. A big thank you to everyone who donated.

EAL CULTURAL DIVERSITY ACTIVITY

Our EAL students recently took part in a wonderful Cultural Diversity activity, celebrating the many backgrounds that make up our school community.

Students traced their hands and decorated them using the colours and designs of their cultural flags, creating a vibrant and meaningful display. This activity was a great way for students to share their identity, learn about each other, and celebrate what makes us all unique.

We are so proud of their creativity and the beautiful way they embraced diversity!

BREAKFAST CLUB

Our very successful Breakfast Club program has wrapped up for the term.

A big thank you to Mrs Ferguson and Jess Arnott for running the program each Monday and Thursday morning.

Breakfast Club will continue each Monday and Thursday in Term 2.

CROSS COUNTRY RUNS

The Years 3-6 Cross Country was held in very wet conditions, but the spirit of our students was outstanding.

While the weather was perfect for Athletics, it certainly challenged us during the Cross Country—proving you can’t win them all!

There are some fantastic photos from the event available to view.

The weather was much better for the Foundation - Year 2 Cross Country around the school and it was great to see all of the children being active.

A big thank you to Cherine Owen for her organisation and leadership of both days and we couldn't have done it without our Parent Helpers who braved the very wet conditions.

FOUNDATION A - WRITING PIECE

Our Foundation students have been busy getting into the Easter spirit with some wonderful writing about the Easter Bunny!

We were so impressed with their creative ideas, and beautiful drawings.

It has been fantastic to see students building their confidence in writing, sounding out words, and sharing their ideas. We are very proud of their efforts and the enthusiasm they have shown.

Well done, Foundation students – keep up the amazing work!

ORCHESTRA

Our school orchestra has been busy practising together during lunch times in the school library, and it’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm grow each week.

We look forward to seeing their continued progress throughout the year—well done to all our talented musicians!
