Principal's Message

This will be our last newsletter for Term 1. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a restful break. We are looking forward to spending our last day of term with you all celebrating at our Fancy Hat Parade and Grandparents lunch.

School returns for students in Term 2 on Wednesday 22 April. Our school office will be open from Monday 20 April at 1:30pm and then on Tuesday 21 April all day.

There has been a lot in the media recently about Bullying. The definition of bullying is - When someone (child or adult) says or does something intentionally hurtful and they keep doing it - even when you tell them to stop or show them that you are upset. Sometimes children and adults can be rude and/or mean, this is when someone says or does something intentionally or unintentionally hurtful, and they do it once. If your child is experiencing issues with students being mean, rude or bullying at school, please contact their class teacher in the first instance. If it persists, please do not hesitate to contact me by either calling the office or asking the office staff to make an appointment to see me.

Reminders -

• Drop off and Pick up - Could all parents and carers please wait either near the canteen or in the Kinder playground at pick up times in the afternoons. Parents waiting in the top quad outside classrooms is disturbing the learning of our students.

  Parents are reminded to present at the front office if you are picking up or dropping off students after the morning bell at 9:25am and before the afternoon bell at 3:25pm. The admin school, gate will not be open in the afternoons until 3:15pm.

  A lot of students are being dropped off at school prior to 8:50am. From 8:30am until 8:50am there is only one teacher on duty to support supervision for the early bus arrivals. Official start time for school is 8:50am.

• Please ensure all winter uniform is clearly labelled for the return to school next term.
