Athletics Day

Athletics Day
Term 3 has kicked off with a hugely successful Athletics Day, which is always such a highlight on the school calendar. It was wonderful to see so many families come along and support the children.
Thank you to our dedicated parent volunteers who helped time, measure and encourage our participants. Without their valuable assistance, we would not be able to hold such events.
The Prep and Junior students enjoyed a day that focussed on participation and enjoyment with events ranging from frisbee throws, egg and spoon races up to 100m sprints and the 500m marathon. These are designed to get the students active and used to how the day works for future years.
The Middle and Senior students enjoyed competing in more traditional track and field events and there were some outstanding results. Based on these results, we will be selecting a team that will represent the school at the District Athletics on Tuesday 18th August (Week 6).
All the students competed for House points, and the winning House will be announced at Assembly this Friday. We will also be awarding the ribbons to the top 3 in each event for the Middles and Seniors.
