Dear Parents and Carers,

As we reach the end of Term 2, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our entire school community for their ongoing support, dedication and commitment throughout what has been a busy and rewarding semester.

One of the highlights of the term was having the opportunity to showcase our school to Regional Education staff and fellow Network Principals. Sharing our amazing school is always a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and highlight the collective efforts of our students, staff and families. Most recently, our School Captains proudly presented some of our outstanding Attitudes to School Survey results, which have continued to improve year on year. Their confidence, leadership and pride in our school was evident, and it was wonderful to see them representing our community so positively.

To our students, congratulations on your hard work, resilience and achievements. You have embraced learning opportunities, challenged yourselves, supported one another and represented our school with pride. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished this term.

The beginning of Term 2 also marked the successful conclusion of our most recent round of capital works. These improvements have further enhanced our learning environment and reflect our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding facilities for our students and community. Looking ahead, we are excited to commence the next phase of our Landscape Masterplan during the upcoming holiday break. This stage will include the development of the Orchard and the 'Lunch Lawn' area adjacent to the Pavilion. Importantly, these works have been scheduled to begin during the holidays and will continue throughout Term 3 before being completed during the September school holidays, minimising disruption to student learning and ensuring that students can continue to enjoy their school environment with minimal impact.

Term 2 has also been filled with many wonderful opportunities and memorable experiences. Highlights included our Whole School Cross Country, where students demonstrated determination, perseverance and sportsmanship; the Community Arts Expo, which showcased the creativity and talent of our students and strengthened our connection with the wider community; and the Prep and Year 3 Swimming Program, where students-built confidence and developed important water safety skills.

We were also delighted to celebrate special community events throughout the term, including Mother's Day and Grandparents Day. These occasions provided valuable opportunities to welcome families into our school, celebrate relationships, and showcase the fantastic learning taking place across our classrooms. To our families and carers, thank you for your partnership and support. The strong connection between home and school plays a vital role in our students' success, and we are grateful for your ongoing involvement in our school community.

As we head into the holiday break, I encourage everyone to take some time to rest, recharge and enjoy time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 3. Congratulations once again to all members of our school community on a successful Term 2 and thank you for your contributions to making our school such a positive and supportive place to learn and grow.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy and relaxing holiday break.

Kind regards,

David, Grace, Keli and the BPS Team
