Principal's Message

National Science Week
We are looking forward to celebrating Science Week at our special open morning on Tuesday 18 August. Families are invited to visit classrooms to celebrate our students’ curiosity and learning from 9am until 10am and hope to see many of you there.
Book Week 2026
The Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Annual Book Week for 2026 runs from Saturday 22nd August to Friday 28th August, 2026.
This year’s theme is ‘Symphony of Stories.’
In celebration of Book Week, the students are invited to dress up on Wednesday 26th of August for our annual Book Week Dress up Assembly.
We encourage the students to come to school dressed as their favourite book or book character for the day. More details regarding Book Week Assembly will be shared via Compass shortly.
For more information on Children’s Book Week, please refer to the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s website - https://cbca.org.au/childrens-book-week/
Pedestrian Safety
The safety of our students is always our top priority. We ask all families to use the designated pedestrian crossings on Gallaghers Road and Shepherd Road when walking to and from school.
Crossing outside of these areas models unsafe behaviour and puts both children and adults at risk. Please also ensure that you are following all road rules when driving near the school. Monash Council monitors traffic around our school regularly, and fines will be issued for any breaches.
More importantly, we want to prevent accidents and keep everyone safe. Please do the right thing for the safety of our students and community.
