PRAYER
Loving God,
as the sun sets in glorious hues,
may I join all creation in giving glory to Your name.
As the stars appear,
I give You thanks for guiding me in times of darkness on a journey of faith.
As the moon reflects light,
I ask for Your grace to live in a way that reflects Your love.
Amen.
From the Principal
Dear Families,
There are many exciting things happening as we head towards the end of the term.
Book Week
It was wonderful to celebrate Book Week last week and see the students embrace the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about reading while dressed in character. The creativity and imagination in their costumes was inspiring and caused much excitement within the school. Times like these foster special memories while injecting passion, enthusiasm, and joy for reading.
Father’s Day Breakfast
This week we have our special celebration in recognition of Father’ s Day when we welcome fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and special friends for breakfast. Bookings can still be made via Trybooking or you may email the office.
District Athletics
Next Monday the students from Years 3 to 6 will participate in the district athletics carnival. Mrs Sherriff has been preparing them for the various events including track and field activities. There is much excitement among the students as they prepare to compete against other schools from the area.
Melbourne Zoo Excursion
Next week, on Thursday, the whole school will visit the Melbourne Zoo. The students will participate in various learning experiences led by zoo staff as well as walk around the zoo to look at the animals and have a picnic lunch.
Art Show
Our students are continuing to express their creativity during their art lessons creating masterpieces that will be exhibited during our biennial Art Show on Wednesday 16 September. Further information will be provided but please put this date in your diaries.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.
Warm regards,
Michelle Worcester
