SCIENCE WEEK - CELEBRATING THE FUN OF SCIENCE

Science Week has been a fantastic celebration of all things Science, with students getting involved in a week packed with hands-on experiments, challenges, competitions and plenty of fun!
On Tuesday lunchtime, students stepped into the world of special effects, creating realistic wounds, exploring smoke machines and even making snow! Wednesday challenged students’ minds with fascinating psychology illusions, while others got hands-on (and very gooey!) making our special fluffy slime.
Thursday brought some friendly competition to the courtyard with our Catapult Challenge. Students put their engineering skills to the test, designing, constructing and operating their catapults, with prizes awarded to our most successful teams.
We finished the week with a bang on Friday! Students launched rockets, practised titration techniques and put their physical abilities to the test with our Sport Science Testing Combine.
A huge thank you to all of our dedicated Science staff and student committees who helped make Science Week such a success. Their enthusiasm, creativity and hard work created opportunities for students to experience science in exciting and memorable ways.
We hope Science Week has inspired our students to see that science isn’t just something we learn in the classroom—it’s something we can explore, create, test and have fun with every day!
