Mary and the Month of May  

The Catholic Church honours Mary, the mother of Jesus, during the month of May.

Mary Help of Christians is one of the patrons of Australia, with this feast day celebrated on 24 May.

The Feast of the Visitation is celebrated on 31 May and recalls Mary visiting her cousin Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist.

As we celebrate our mothers this month, it is fitting that we also honour Mary, our Mother in Heaven. Perhaps your family might take some time to pray the Hail Mary together during May.

         “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” (Luke 1:42)    

The Sacrament of the Eucharist 

Please keep our Year Four students in your prayers as they prepare to receive their First Communion at the end of May.

A reminder for the Year Four families that the Family Faith Evening for the Sacrament of the Eucharist will take place in The Hub this evening, 6.00-7.00 pm.

be committed to avoid wasting food, 

and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.
