END OF TERM 2 WRAP UP!

Dear Families,
As we reach the end of another busy and successful term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and the partnership we share in your child’s learning journey. At Hackham East Primary School, we deeply value the strong connections between home and school, knowing that it makes all the difference in helping our students thrive.
This term has continued with wonderful growth and achievement across all year levels. Our classrooms have fostered curious, creative and resilient learners exploring new concepts, collaborating, and problem-solving together. It is wonderful to see our learners engaged, taking pride in their efforts, and celebrating their personal progress.
Alongside this, our students have enjoyed a number of other learning experiences, that included:
- The Castle Unit excursion to Urrbrae Wetlands offered a hands-on opportunity to learn about local ecosystems and environmental responsibility.
- Year 5/6 camp at Arbury Park inspired independence, curiosity, teamwork, and lots of outdoor nature based learning experiences which we all survived despite the weather and limited sleep!
- The RAA road safety incursion empowered students with practical knowledge to help keep them safe on the roads.
- Reconciliation Week was marked by meaningful acknowledgement and important learning activities, deepening our collective respect and understanding.
- Whole School JamBand music performance was a highlight of the term with the musicians keeping everyone clapping and dancing and involved many of our students participating in the songs and dances.
- Our Jump Rope for Heart event not only promoted healthy living but was also wonderfully supported by our families—thank you for your involvement!
- The recent Pyjama themed disco was well attended, enjoyed by all as a yearly fundraising event for our school.
These activities, in addition to day-to-day classroom learning, would not be possible without the dedication and professionalism of our staff. Thanks to our teachers, SSOs, and all support staff for their commitment to providing positive and engaging learning environments for every child.
As we head into the holiday break, I wish all our students and families a safe, restful, and happy time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the first day of Term 3, which is Monday 20 July 2026.
Thank you once again for making Hackham East such a wonderful school community.
Warm regards,
Ms Sally
Principal
