TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 10 of Term 2.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Insect Week Buzzing with Fun!
This week’s theme is “Insect Week,” and it has been full of creative and active moments. Each morning, the children enjoyed a selection of insect and UFO-themed colouring sheets, with many participating in our ongoing colouring competitions.
Insect Habitat Adventures
The children have been discovering where different insects live and getting creative by designing their own habitats. On Tuesday, they used a range of craft supplies to build imaginative insect homes. Then on Thursday, they will take their learning outdoors—gathering natural materials to create habitats that reflect real-life insect environments. In the afternoons, the playground has been alive with energy—soccer, footy, Gaga ball, and down ball continue to be the top favourites.
Sharing Positivity with the Community
The photos above are from our recent community project. Louise represented our service at a Choice Community Health event, where she proudly shared the children’s positive postcards. She spoke about how the children at TheirCare have been working to spread joy and kindness throughout the community—a wonderful example of young voices making a big impact!
Pupil of the Week
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Ava in PMM. Ava is always kind and caring toward others at TheirCare and brightens the room with her cheerful smile. Fantastic job, Ava - what a wonderful role model you are!
