Grade 6 Winter Sport Finals

Grand Finals

Last Friday Footscray West PS hosted the Footscray District Winter Sports Grand Finals. Two of our teams participated and were successful in winning their respective Winter Sport premiership.

AFL FWPS vs Footscray North PS

11 -  5  -  71 to 5  -  3  -  33

Girls Netball FWPS vs Footscray North PS

16  -  6

Both teams qualified to represent the Footscray District at the Maribyrnong Division Round Robin held yesterday at Keilor Park Sports Precinct. Each team played three games against teams from the Sunshine 1, Sunshine 2, and Yarraville District.

AFL FWPS v St Theresa's PS – Lost by 8 points, St Pauls PS – Lost by 24 points, Yarraville West PS – Lost by 35 points. 

Girls Netball FWPS v Sunshine Heights PS Won 18 - 2, Wembley PS Lost 6 - 18, Mother of God PS Won 20 - 2.

A great achievement by both teams to get to this stage and compete well against schools from other districts in the Maribyrnong Division.

A big thank you to parents and carers who came along to support our teams on the day.
