This is set to be an exciting event. Each House group has traditionally been well represented and if old traditions continue, an atmosphere charged with electricity and energy will develop. Our House Theatre Sports competition will see each House slog it out for best performances in improvisation and musicality. A special thank you to our judging panel: Mrs Sonya Roberts, Mrs Katrina Bird and Mr Marcus Ryan. Thank you also to our Drama leaders, Josh Hayes and Gabe Bristow for supporting the organisation of the event.

Our debating and public speaking team leaders are off to a flying start a s they start to prepare to defend some of their winning titles from 2025. If anyone is interested in joining the debating or public speaking groups, we meet on Tuesdays in the PAC where our fantastic debating leaders: Archer Mohr, Eli Cudia and Public Speaking leader, Daniel O’Brien will help to coach our 2026 teams.

Loreto College is hosting our joint production of Pippin in 2026 andrehearsals are going well. This year, the audience will be able to see a magical story of Pippin (played by Emily Gibson) taking on a journey to find an extraordinary life. Further leading roles will feature Josh Hayes (our Drama Captain) playing The King, Dylan Hanley one of our VCE Theatre Studies students playing Lewis and Theatre Studies student Riley Hayes, who be playing the part of Theo. Audience members can see this wonderful performance at Loreto’s Abbey Theatre from May 6-9.

The Year 10 production of Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days is off to a tremendous start. Students get the opportunity to direct, light design, sound design, develop set, props and costume a production themselves. One quote from director Oscar Down to the cast:
"…That was a good rehearsal, and we got through a lot so good job and the show is shaping up pretty well."
To start the production process and perform all within the same term is a challenge these students have relished. You will be able to see this epic journey around the world at St Patrick’s Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday, 1 April at 6pm.
ANZAC Day rehearsals will commence in Week 6. Their presence is going to be loud and energetic! This ensemble, led by William Stephens and Peter Gunn, is working towards our annual ANZAC Day parade where we proudly march alongside others in the community to support remembrance.
We have on offer individual and shared lessons covering: Brass, woodwind, piano, guitar, vocal and percussion. Please come to the Performing Arts Office should you wish to speak about taking up and instrument.
Calling all Rock Stars!
St Pat's is forming a Rock Band and all interested students are asked to make contact with Mr Snibson in the Performing Arts Centre. Stay tuned for further notices.
