Enrichment

Enrichment is Back for Term 3!
Term 3 is shaping up to be our longest Enrichment Program yet, with our Junior Program running for nine weeks and our Senior Program running for eight weeks. There is plenty for students to look forward to this term, including several exciting new programs such as Would I Lie to You?, 3D Printing Lab, Tie Dye, Knitting Klub and First Aid and Survival Skills for our senior students.
One of our newest additions, 3D Printing Lab, has provided a small group of students with the opportunity to learn how to use our new Bambu Lab 3D printers. Students are designing and creating their own unique models while developing valuable skills in design thinking and emerging technologies. It has been exciting to see their creations come to life.
Students have also been enjoying Would I Lie to You?, inspired by the popular television show. Equipped with a card containing either a truth or a lie, students must convince everyone else that the opposite is true. It has been fantastic to watch students put their communication and persuasion skills to the test, often with some hilarious and very creative stories!
In Week 3, students in First Aid and Survival Skills participated in their first incursion with Mr O'Grady from The Bushway. Students were introduced to bushcraft and survival techniques before taking part in a challenge where they worked together to prioritise survival items in a scarce environment. Later this term, students will complete four accredited First Aid training sessions. Those who successfully attend all sessions will receive a nationally recognised First Aid certificate, providing them with a valuable qualification and an excellent addition to their résumé!
We are also proud to be supporting this year's school production of The Addams Family through a dedicated Enrichment program. Students involved both on stage and behind the scenes are using this time to rehearse, prepare sets and costumes, and get ready for their performances in Week 8.
With such a diverse range of opportunities on offer, there is something for everyone in Enrichment this term. We look forward to seeing our students continue to challenge themselves, discover new interests and make the most of everything Term 3 has to offer!
