Principal's Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you had a relaxing long weekend and enjoyed the long awaited, much needed rainfall. We hope and pray that this provides some relief for our farming community.

Last Sunday we celebrated the feast of Pentecost and this Sunday we celebrate the feast of The Holy Trinity, a particularly important and relevant day in our parish. Trinity Sunday is a Christian feast dedicated to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, the essence of God expressing itself in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the spirit of God.

Father,

you sent your Word

to bring us truth

and your Spirit to give us faith.

Through them we come to know

the mystery of your life.

Help us to be with you,

one God in three Persons,

by living our faith in you.

We ask you this, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Prep Enrolments for 2026

I would like to have enrolments for next year finalised by early next term. Therefore, if you have any extended family or friends intending on enrolling their child next year, it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass this information on to them, so they can arrange for a meeting and a tour of the school. I request all existing families that have a child starting in Prep next year, submit their enrolment form as soon as possible.

Welcome to Nicole and Bailey

This week we welcome to new LSOs, Nicole Carey and Bailey Mumberson to our staff. They have settled in extremely well and we look forward to them being a part of our St. Mary’s team.

Gates Locked at 9.00am

A reminder to all families that for the safety of our children the gates that they enter through in the mornings are locked at 9.00am after the children have gone into their classrooms. It is important that if you are running late, you bring your children in through the front office. Please do not drop them in the car park and allow them to walk around through the front gate unsupervised. As always, the safety of our children is paramount.

Photos/Videos of children at school events

A reminder that if you choose to take a photo or video of your child(ren) at a school event, it is important that this is not shared with anyone else, as it may contain images of other students. Your understanding and cooperation with this is much appreciated.

Colds / Flu

We continue to have many children away with colds and flu as the season of Winter sets upon us. Again, I thank parents and carers for being so vigilant in keeping unwell children at home.

Grade 5 Camp

Last week our Grade 5 students attended an adventure camp in Angelsea. They returned with many great stories from their adventures. Again, we received amazing feedback from the camp organisers on the behaviour of our students. A big thank you to our Grade 5 staff and Matt Absalom for organising such a great experience for our children.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
