It's hard to believe it is the end of Term 1. How quickly this year is progressing! I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Blessed Easter. May you enjoy a relaxing and joyful break, spending quality time with family and friends and embracing the spirit of the Easter season.
Our Easter Prayer Assemblies were truly a highlight of the term. It was a beautiful experience to watch the children lead us in reflection, deepening our shared understanding of the Resurrection and the hope of the Risen Jesus.

It is with sadness that we announce a temporary departure from our teaching team. Mrs. Reinke has been appointed to the position of Assistant Principal/Leader of Pedagogy at St Mary of the Angels, Guyra, for the remainder of the 2026 school year.
While we are naturally sad to lose her presence at St Mary's, this is a wonderful opportunity for her to share her expertise and leadership with a new school community. See you in 2027 Mrs Reinke.
Miss Cook has announced that she will be relocating to Inverell at the beginning of Term 2. As many of you know, Miss Cook has been a part of our RFF school team every Wednesday and Thursday, keeping our students active and energized through her K–6 PE program. We wish her all the very best for the future.
Congratulations to our K–6 students for their fantastic efforts at the Cross Country on Friday. Whether they were sprinting for the finish line or cheering on their peers, every student showed incredible heart and resilience. We are so proud of your participation on such a windy cold day.

What a spectacular day at the Autumn Festival! A huge thank you to all the students, staff, and families who joined us for the parade. It was a joy to see our school colors on display. Congratulations to all students for representing our school with such pride and enthusiasm, you truly made us shine in the community!

This year we will assemble in the East End Mall Beardy Street at 10.30am, where we will proceed with the March towards Central Park. The Commemoration Service will commence at 11:00am and be followed by a wreath laying service. Students are asked to wear their full WINTER school uniform, tie, black shoes and school hat and will march as a group behind the St Mary’s school banner.
Students will need to be collected at Central Park at the conclusion of the March (10.55am) or after the Commemoration Service which commences at 11.00am in Central Park. I encourage all families to support this important day in our nation’s history by participating in the ANZAC Day March. Should the weather be inclement the Commemoration Service will be conducted in the Town Hall (Rusden Street). Such changes will be announced over the local Radio Stations.
