Principal's Message

School Philosophy
Orchard Grove Primary School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that engages curiosity, promotes learning, personal growth, and well-being for all students. We strive to develop adaptability and resilience so students can become valued members of the local and global communities and be prepared for future life experiences.
From the Principal
As we come to the end of a very busy and productive Term 1, I would like to take the opportunity to thank our entire school community for the positive start to the year. It has been wonderful to see classrooms full of engaged learners, teachers establishing strong routines, and students settling into their new year levels so confidently.
Thank you to Miss Tulin for her work organising Harmony Week. The final event - our dress up day was an amazing success with lots of students proudly wearing items of clothing celebrating and reflecting their cultural heritage.
Thank you also goes to our dedicated Year 6 teachers and their amazing parent helpers for supporting our Year 6 students on their trip to Canberra. The students all enjoyed their time in the capital and have come back with many stories about their time away. We are very fortunate to be able to provide our students with such amazing experiences.
We have very much appreciated the donations to the Easter raffle and the community response to our Hot Cross Bun Drive. Thank you to everyone who has supported the continuation of these events in the absence of our Friends of OGPS Committee. I will take this opportunity to once again ask if there is anyone interested in joining the Friends of OGPS - please reach out to Mrs Crozier or Kathy in the office as we would welcome any support in this space.
Finally, thank you to the staff for their work this term, in creating engaging learning experiences and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Thank you also to our families for your ongoing support. We appreciate the way our community works together to support our children.
I hope you have a wonderful break and look forward to seeing everyone again at the start of Term 2, which begins on Tuesday 22 April (Monday the 21st of April is a Curriculum Day).
