In Term 3, St Patrick’s College Arts Faculty successfully introduced the Media and Arts Clubs. These clubs provide students with an extra opportunity to explore various aspects of media production and visual arts in greater depth and in areas of their particular interest.
With guidance from experienced teachers, Media Club students have been working on projects that include weekly student news reports, Claymation, 2D animation and studio photographic shoots. In Arts Club, students have worked on creating unique ceramic pieces such as coffee mugs or sculptures, and personal projects. The clubs have already sparked significant interest and participation, promising an exciting future for student-driven creative projects.
The Media Club’s introductory project was a “Step out of the box” video production. Check it out below!
Visual Communication Design, Media & Art Making and Exhibiting students have submitted their final School Assessed Tasks (SATS) this week. The SATS are the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and creativity. We are very proud of our Year 12 students and their work, and we hope they are just as proud. Their folios and final presentations/productions are impressive, and parents and friends will be able to view all of the SATS in the Arts & Technology Showcase Exhibition scheduled for the first week back in Term 4.
The exhibition will provide a fantastic opportunity for the broader school community to celebrate and appreciate the diverse talents and creative achievements of our senior students, their growth and skill development evident over the course of their VCE studies.

In our reception foyer, many of you may have had recently had the pleasure of viewing some wonderful skateboard artworks. The Year 10 art students utilised personal iconography to design their skateboard artwork, drawing from symbols and imagery that reflect their individual identities and experiences.
Each student explored themes such as cultural heritage, personal interests, and personal and emotional expression. The process involved a deep dive into self-reflection, where students selected motifs that resonated with their sense of self, blending traditional and contemporary styles to create personal narratives.
