COIN & CAN CASUAL CLOTHES DAY

Gallery Image

We will be having a CASUAL CLOTHES DAY to support the St Vinnies 2026 Winter Appeal.  Students may wear Casual Clothes Day TUESDAY 23rd JUNE.  Students are asked to come to school with a Gold Coin and a non-perishable grocery item, which we can then give to our local Vinnies chapter.  The requirements for items being donated are that they are non-perishable and long lasting such as canned foods and pasta or rice. Other donation options include toiletries, such as hand cream, sanitiser, toilet paper, shampoos and conditioner.  Bringing in these items will help many families to be warm and to have food during winter. All donated items will be passed onto our local St Vinnies chapter.  Check out the image below for some donation ideas:

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to all the students who made their First Holy Communion last Thursday. Thank you to the families for the time and effort you have put into preparing your child to receive this most important of Sacraments.  Thanks also to  Mr Bemelman’s and the Year 4 teachers for the outstanding way they prepared the students for the Mass.  The students who sang in the School Sacramental Choir which was overseen by Miss Carla Romeo, are to be commended for their time and talents.   I would also like to thank all the staff who attended the evening, this is a testament to the high importance St John’s School Community places on the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

It counts the number of students who receive adjustments or “help” at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps the government and schools plan for the needs of students with a disability. At St John’s we partner with Inform and Empower to ensure we can monitor and track student’s online movements while they are onsite at school.  To support parents in navigating the ever changing online world we have our own Online Safety Parent Hub. The Parent Hub provides a wealth of online safety resources including; digital parenting guides, app reviews and articles.  Families also have access to free parental control tools to help keep children safe while using their personal devices.
