Special NSW Police Visit

On Wednesday 14th May, our school received a special visit from Senior Constable Ben

Stride of the NSW Police. This visit was in conjunction with ‘Walk Safely to School Day’ and the local police’s commitment to increasing their community presence by building relationships with our shire’s young people.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to speak with Senior Constable Stride and asked him plenty of questions!

We would like to thank Senior Constable Stride for visiting our school.

Kindergarten 2026 Parent Information Session

Last Thursday we held an Information Session for the parents of children starting Kindergarten in 2026. Mrs O’Connor ran the session and began by sharing what families can expect from our school. She introduced our Leadership Team for 2025 and discussed the vital role they have in the school. The families witnessed first hand the calm learning environment present in each classroom as they toured the school on a Learning Walk.

Following the walk, Mrs O’Connor spoke about our transition program that commences in Term 3 and how the parents/guardians can help their child prepare to start school. We were delighted to see so many new families interested in attending our school as well as current families who were available to attend the information session.

GRIP Student Leadership Conference

Our School Captains Lilian Davies and Lachlan Dunn, along with Vice Captains Darby Cameron and Anna Murphy, represented our school at the GRIP Student Leadership Conference in Moree on Thursday 15th May.

It was an inspiring day filled with excitement as our students connected with other young leaders from across the region.

They participated in a range of interactive activities and discussions that encouraged them to reflect on their leadership roles and how they can make a positive difference in our school community. They returned with a clear message that communication, respect and teamwork are key tools for making a meaningful impact.
