STAGE 2 NEWS
What a busy few weeks we have had! From preparing for our Assembly item to completing our projects to athletics lessons and everything in between, the children have been very productive.
This week in Athletics with Jay Stone, Stage 2 have been learning about Discus. Please check out the future Olympians in the making:
In Stage 2, we have been reading the Roald Dahl classic 'Fantastic Mr Fox'. Throughout the book we have been discussing the unique perspectives of the two main characters, 'The Foxes and The Farmers'. We are currently preparing for our Assembly this week. We would like to thank parents and caregivers for practising the lyrics at home to ensure their children are confident. Look out everyone, be prepared to be amazed by our battle of the foxes and the farmers.
In Geography, students have been learning about how we present climate data so that it can be easily read and understood. We have been learning how to transfer the rainfall data from some of Australia's capital cities into a bar graph. Next week, we will be tackling temperature. Look out! We may have some future environmental scientists in the making.
During Maths over the past few weeks, we have been focusing on addition and subtraction. We have been learning to use a variety of different strategies to complete various number sentences.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this term and wish all families a safe, relaxing and happy Easter.
Mrs Townsend and Catherine Clarke
