Year 6 Art Showcase & Farewell
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Year 6 Indigenous-inspired artwork is now proudly on display in the library area. We invite you to take a moment to view the beautiful pieces the next time you are in the school. Congratulations to our Year 6 students who worked collaboratively to create two large canvas works, as well as their own individual Australian landscape artworks. Their pieces were inspired by Indigenous culture and artists, the Australian landscape, and the vibrant colours of our country.
In addition, the students explored a creative reimagining of the iconic Mona Lisa. Using bright paint pens, they designed pop art–style portraits that celebrate colour, fun, and modern artistic expression.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for allowing me the privilege of teaching your children Visual Arts at Ormond Primary School. It has been such a joy to guide their creativity, see their ideas come to life, and share in their enthusiasm for artmaking. I will deeply miss the positive relationships I have built with students, staff, and parents, and I wish the Ormond Primary School community every success in the years ahead.
Warm regards,
Miss Arendze
