Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 3.
A few gentle reminders as we start another term.
The morning bell rings at 8.50 am. Any child arriving after our morning assembly has

concluded needs to be accompanied by a parent to the office and signed in on the Compass iPad. This is important to ensure that the students are marked present and their attendance is correct.
Please have your child at school on time, as late comers disrupt the operation of the school.
Your child’s classroom teacher is your first point of call regarding any issues pertaining to your child. Please send all emails or correspondence to our school office and not directly to the classroom teacher.

A reminder that we are a nut, sesame and egg free school. Please ensure that no items
containing these products are packed in school lunchboxes. If any child brings an item that compromises the health of our students, it will be removed and parents can collect from the office.
Students are reminded that sharing of food is not allowed at St Francis Xavier.
Please be reminded of the importance of regular school attendance. Mrs Girgenti

regularly monitors school attendance data and trends and this information is also regularly monitored by Sydney Catholic Schools.
If your child is absent due to illness or other circumstances, please ensure that you follow the correct procedure in updating Compass records.

Last week, our Year 3 and Year 5 families received their long-awaited NAPLAN results. We were delighted to see our students once again perform strongly across all five domains—Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation and Numeracy. These results are a reflection of the high expectations we set for all learners, combined with the unwavering dedication and care our teachers show every day. Our teaching team is now analysing the data to ensure we continue to support and extend every student across all year levels.
Congratulations to Georgia (Year 5), Eden (Year 3) and Charlie (Kindergarten), who represented St Francis Xavier at the Sydney Regional Interschools Snowsports Championships at Perisher during the school holidays.

As the first students to represent SFX at the competition, they marked an exciting milestone for the school. All three competed in Alpine racing in their respective divisions — Divisions 4, 5 and 6 — achieving impressive results among some of the largest fields the Sydney Interschools Championships have seen. Georgia placed an outstanding 40th in a highly competitive field of 122 competitors, while Charlie finished 35th overall in Division 6 and Eden recorded a strong result in the highly competitive Division 5 field.
Georgia, Eden and Charlie should be very proud of the courage, enthusiasm and sportsmanship they demonstrated while representing SFX.

Congratulations to Elise K in Year 6 who has been selected for Basketball NSW's Talented Athlete Program (TAP).
TAP is Basketball NSW's elite development pathway and the first step in the program is a performance camp in August, where Elise will train and play alongside other selected athletes from across the state.
We are incredibly proud of Elise and look forward to seeing where this exciting opportunity takes her.
God Bless,
Fiona
