" Every child matters. Every moment counts!"
Dear Families
We have had a very exciting time since our last newsletter. The staff are always grateful for those who take the tine to read our news items. Please enjoy and celebrate as you read through this issue.
Confirmation
Last Sunday our Years 5 & 6 students and some candidates from the parish celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. Bishop Tomlinson officiated the sacrament with the support of Fr Leenus and Deacon John. Bishop Tomlinson's words and prayerful presence made the us all feel the movement of the Holy Spirit renewing our hearts and strengthening our faith.
We thank our teachers Mrs Marie Casey, Mrs Linda DiCamillo and Mr Tim O'Mahoney whose faithful dedication and guidance have helped form our young people in the ways of faith. Their witness and love have planted seeds that will continue to grow and be fruit in the lives of our newly confirmed young adults.
A particular acknowledgment to the class members who gave each other the courage and strength to prepare for the sacrament during their class time.
We also thank the choir and band members for giving the mass a special reverent feeling.
Congratulations to:
Primrose, Esha, Tanya, Lily E, Lucas, Lily H, Avana, Samantha, Nathan, Isabella, Vivienne, Chiara, Teresa. Audrey upon her return to school.
Art Exhibition
What a sensational night! I am sure that you will all agree that the Art work exhibited was of an exceptional standard. I would like to firstly thank Mrs Lisa Douglas who has made this event a feature of our school curriculum. Lisa manages to engage all the children in their work to achieve a fantastic outcome with diverse pieces of art work on display. Also thank you to the Classroom Teachers and the Learning Support Officers who contributed with the main piece of work for the auction and the added individual pieces. The diversity in mediums and materials reflected the talents of our students. I believe that this was perhaps the best exhibition to date.
We were fortunate to have the continued support of the Ray White Real Estate staff and the enticement from Tom the auctioneer. Congratulations to the winners of the Live Auction Art Pieces. I'm sure that the art work will be placed in a prominent place at home.
Thank you to the PFA families who catered for the night with high standards which could have easily equated to an NGV event.
In all, the event lived up to the expectations of bringing families together in celebration of the children’s work. The smile on everyone’s faces reflected the atmosphere of the night.
Thank you to everyone for your participation and support.

Traffic issue
The concerns about the traffic conditions at the Grange Road and Neerim Road intersection were brought once again to the attention of the SAC members. There have been numerous times where cars have gone through red lights or with great speed.
Contact has been made with VicRoads and we are currently waiting for a response as how they will action our concerns. We will also contact Victoria Police to see the viability of having Traffic cameras or other signage installed.
In the meanwhile please continue to be vigilant when crossing this intersection or any other one for the safety of each other and in particular our children.
World Teachers' Day 31 October 2025.
Today, World Teachers' Day, is an opportunity for our school community to acknowledge the dedication and commitment our Teachers, Learning Support Officers and Administrative staff demonstrate in the work that they do. We are blessed to have a staff who strive to work as a team to ensure that our students receive an excellent education and personal care in a friendly and nurturing environment. Our school is definitely the niche school to be in.
Toys from home at school
The staff ask that toys that cannot be shared or that are special for your child please be kept at home. These are beginning to cause issues amongst some children who will not share their toys with everyone. Some toys are also a distraction for others during class time. Toys are to remain in their bags during class times.
