Pathways News

In Term Three, our Pathways Program is designed to equip students in Years 7 -12 with the necessary skills and guidance to navigate their future career paths.

This term, SEL lessons for 7-10 focused on careers.  These lessons aimed to help students develop their understanding of the world of work and gain valuable experience in connecting their skills and interests with their learning, whilst also completing a Career Action Plan. Year 9 students have had the opportunity to continue completing their Morrisby profiling and participate in a one-to-one career consultation with a Morrisby Careers Advisors.  Students have found this beneficial in assisting with their subject selections.  Year 10 students have continued actively seeking work experience opportunities. Work experience gives students the opportunity to gain practical exposure to various industries.

Year 11 students have been making important subject selections to align with their future career aspirations and they have also been accessing links on the Craigieburn Secondary College Careers Website (www.craigieburnsccareers.com) to assist with this process.

Lastly, Year 12 students are in the process of making crucial decisions about their next steps, including submitting VTAC applications and considering their post-school options.

This term has been an exciting and transformative period for our students as they take significant strides towards shaping their future pathways.
