All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day

On the 1st of November each year the Catholic Church celebrates All Saints' Day. This day is dedicated to the saints of the church, and we remember them for the example they set for us to follow. All Souls Day is celebrated on 2nd November and is set aside for us to remember those who have died. It is a day for us to pray for our families and friends.

Let us Pray:

May You O Lord, welcome into Your Kingdom our departed brothers and sisters, and all who have left this world in your friendship. Father, in your mercy grant also to us, your children, to enter into our heavenly inheritance in the company of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, and Your apostles and saints.

Kindergarten Orientation

Orientation activities will start with a parent information session tonight, (Wednesday, 1st November) from 6.00pm – 7.30pm in Kenna Hall for all parents of prospective Kindergarten 2024 children. This meeting will give parents a practical overview of what happens in Kindergarten and they will receive practical information on the things they need to start the new year.

Our first Kindergarten Orientation with our Kindergarten students for 2024 will be held on Friday, 3rd November, will further orientation sessions taking place for the following two Friday mornings, November 10th and 17th from 9.30am – 11.00am.

Our new Kindergarten students will come to Kenna Hall with their parents, for each of these Friday mornings, before the teachers will escort them across to the school for classroom sessions.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new families to the McAuley Family.

NAIDOC Week

Last week Orange celebrated NAIDOC Week. Catherine McAuley was proud to celebrate this week and participated in the annual match. We also participated in NAIROC at the function centre, singing My Island Home with simple dance movements to add visual interest. A big "Thank You" to Rebecca Hughes for preparing the students for this event and to Bec and Azalyah Rolton for their assistance. Thank you also to the Year 6 dance instructors who helped with the movements. Congratulations to Bronx for his outstanding story telling.
