Kicking Goals

On Sunday October 15th, year 10 student Mennah Abdalla participated in the Perth National Taekwondo Championship that was held in Western Australia.  Mennah only took up taekwondo as a sport in the last 6 months and she competed against athletes who have up to six years’ experience. 

Mennah has been very committed to her sport and her dedication really showed on the day of the tournament. She came in 2nd place and was only defeated by the winner by one point.  Mennah placing 2nd amongst over 300 participants from Victoria alone is an amazing achievement. 

Mennah was awarded with a medal and will be competing in Melbourne for her next tournament.   With her drive and commitment, we are certain that Craigieburn Secondary College has an Olympic athlete in its ranks.
