Vocational Major Interviews

As students are preparing for 2024, our Vocational Major students have been attending interviews with the Pathways team to secure their Structured Work Learning (SWL) placement and their VET outside of school. 

• What is an SWL?

Structured Workplace Learning is on-the-job training that allows students to develop their work skills and understand employer expectations.  SWL is available to students undertaking a VET program as part of their senior secondary studies. 

SWL provides: 

• enhanced skill development 

• practical application of industry knowledge 

• assessment of units of competency 

• learning outcomes for senior secondary studies including Vocational Major (VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) 

• enhanced employment opportunities
