2026 Volleyball Victoria Schools Championships
The 2026 Volleyball Victoria Schools Championships have concluded, with Eltham High School once again achieving outstanding results across all age groups.
Leading the way were our Open teams. The Open Honours Girls claimed the Gold Medal, successfully defending their title and making it back-to-back Honours Championships following their 2025 victory. This result confirms Eltham as the number one senior girls school volleyball team in Victoria.
Our Open Honours Boys won the Silver Medal, finishing as the second-ranked senior boys school team in Victoria after an outstanding tournament. The Boys Honours Gold Medal match can be viewed through Volleyball Victoria TV
There was also plenty to celebrate among our youngest competitors, with several Year 7 teams bringing home medals:
Year 7 Boys Gold – Silver Medal
Year 7 Girls Gold – Bronze Medal
Year 7 Girls Red – Bronze Medal
Across the championships, the strength and depth of the program was recognised with Eltham High School being crowned the 2026 Champion Girls School. With results still being finalised, Eltham is also expected to finish among the top three schools overall in the Champion School standings.
These achievements extend well beyond the medals. Eltham High School was represented by a large number of students across the championships, and they should be congratulated on the way they competed, supported one another and represented the school throughout the events.
Results like these are only possible because of the enormous contribution of our wider volleyball community. A sincere thank you goes to the staff, coaches and parents who gave their time and energy to support our students through training, tournaments, transport and the many other jobs that happen behind the scenes.
