Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2025 school year! We're excited to welcome our students and families back for another year of learning at our newly renamed Bindjiroo Yaluk Community School. This marks a significant milestone in our evolution as a school, as we continue to strengthen our commitment to providing an engaging and supportive environment for all kinds of students. We will be planning an event later in the year to celebrate the renaming and to reflect on the school's journey over the past five decades.
Thank you to those families, students, and staff members who came together this past week at both our Richmond and Coburg campuses at part of our 'meet & greet' barbecues. Both gatherings provided an opportunity to re-connect with families of our existing students after the summer break, and to welcome new students and their families to our school community.
We’re also entering a school review year, where we’ll take a deep look at our progress and identify opportunities for improvement. Your input will be invaluable to this process, and we encourage all parents and caregivers to get involved and share their thoughts as we work together to shape the future of our school. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate successes, address challenges, and ensure that we are providing the best educational experience possible for our students.
As we embark on this exciting year, we wish all of our students a productive, successful, and fulfilling 2025. We look forward to watching each of you grow, learn, and achieve your goals. Together, we can make this year one to remember. Thank you for being an important part of the Bindjiroo Yaluk Community School community.
