This Week's Updates

Dear Families,
Week 5 signifies the halfway mark!
Weekend Farm Duty Volunteers Needed
We're looking for a few more volunteers to help with our weekend farm duties. At the moment, we have only a small number of families on the roster, and we'd love to spread the responsibility a little more evenly across our school community.
Weekend farm duty is straightforward and involves:
- Letting the animals out in the morning
- Feeding them and checking they have fresh, clean water
- Putting them away safely in the evening
Full instructions are provided, and we'll arrange a walk through before your allocated weekend, so you'll feel confident and prepared.
Our farm animals need care every day of the year, and this is only possible thanks to the generosity of our school community. If your family is able to help, we'd greatly appreciate you volunteering for one weekend during the year.
Weekends currently needing volunteers:
- Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd August
- Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August
- Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August
- Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th August
- Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September
If you're able to help, please email me at joanne.magnik@sjvermont.catholic.edu.au with the weekend that best suits your family.
Thank you for supporting our school farm and helping us care for our animals.
Farewell to Auskick Coordinator Tom Dougherty
The final Auskick session on Saturday morning provided an opportunity for our community to farewell Tom Dougherty as the coordinator. The rain and cold conditions provided a true Winter experience for all in attendance. Tom has coordinated the program for the past seven years and provided an engaging and fun skill based program for many St James students.
We are very grateful for Tom and Amy for their dedication.
Child Safe Standards
With the importance and commitment that we place on student safety as a school system, please take the time to read and familiarise yourself with the information in the
Child Safe Standard Five Parent/Carer Newsletter.
