The Final Countdown

Welcome to the final newsletter for the year. Students have worked so hard and achieved so much this year! The teachers are feeling so proud of them! In the final few weeks of the school term, many special events are happening. Please carefully check the details of all the special activities mentioned in this newsletter and via emails from your child's teacher. We look forward to seeing families at the Christmas on the Lawn event!

Year 2 students have been provided with a reading activity sheet to finish the year with. The idea is for students to complete one box each night. Whilst library borrowing has finished for this year, students are encouraged to read books from home as well as access these online resources:

Students have their passwords in their blue folders, if you need the password for your child please let your child's teacher know.

Christmas Party

This year’s class parties will be held on Thursday 14th December. For the Year 1 and 2's, we will be offering a pizza lunch. The cost is $5.00 for 2 slices of Pizza and a Juice Box. BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian and Margherita (vegetarian) pizzas will be ordered. Students will be given a choice on the day, subject to availability. Pizza will be served by the teachers using safe food handling techniques.

Orders and payment can only be made via QKR. No cash will be accepted. Payment via QKR implies that permission is granted for your child to have the selected food items on the day. All orders must be made no later than midday Thursday 7th December. No late orders can be accepted.

It is not compulsory to order pizza and students will still be able to bring their own lunch from home, as normal, if required.

Kris Kringle

This year, we will once again be offering students to participate in a Kris Kringle. We will be handing out the presents on the day of our class party, which is Thursday 14th December. If you would like your child to participate, then they will need to buy a present for another child. The present could be received by a boy or a girl, so please keep this in mind when purchasing your gift. The present is not to exceed a cost of $5.

If you do not wish your child to participate, please inform your child’s teacher.

All presents need to be brought to school no later than Monday, 11th of December.

'Vermont Views' School Magazine

Miss Strachan and Miss Abrahams would like to remind you that The Vermont Views magazine is still available for purchase on Qkr! This is a great keepsake of 'the year that was' and a fun way to track your child's journey through their school years. Orders have been extended and the final day to purchase the school magazine will be next Friday 8th December.
