Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Last year, our Communication Leadership Group began work on a project to purchase and install three new flagpoles for the school. The group spent time researching suitable options and obtaining two quotes before writing to the Toolamba Fishing Club to seek support for the project. We are very grateful for their generous donation of $1,000, with the school funding the remaining cost.

Last week, thanks to Tony Hicks, the flagpoles were successfully installed. Yesterday, Brett Merry (Arkadia, Kash and Denver's grandfather) very kindly visited the school to attach the flags and provide staff with a brief explanation of how the flagpoles operate. As you can see by the photo they are a fantastic addition to our school grounds.

MELBOURNE ZOO EXCURSION

Last Friday, our school visited the Melbourne Zoo for our Whole School Excursion. We were extrememly lucky with the weather. Despite the forecast of showers, we had a dry day, with the perfect temperature for animal activity. We all had a great time!

PARENTS & FRIENDS

Parents & Friends Commitee would like to thank everybody for the donations for the Mother's Day Stall and to the parents that helped on the morning. Money raised will be going towards picture books for the Art room, writing materials, Bookclub Sets,  play/construction items for the junior classes and magnetic tiled boards.

SOMERS

Eleven of our students headed off to Somers for ten days on Tuesday. Every second year, students from our school have the opportunity to attend the camp. The Somers Camp program provides students with an exciting opportunity to participate in a range of outdoor, educational and team-building activities while developing confidence, independence and new friendships. Students enjoy unique experiences in a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, resilience and cooperation. We are sure they will have a wonderful time.

FROG BOG

As usual, there is plenty of activity in the Frog Bog area. If any one has any small carpet squares the children could use as flooring in their huts they would be greatly appreciated. Sticks are always in short supply as well. If you have any of these items thay can be dropped over the ack gate near the oval.
