As we approach the final stretch of what has been an incredibly busy term, our students have been working hard to present their liturgy to the rest of the school - a time for reflection, gratitude, and coming together. We wish all our students and their families a very Happy and Blessed Easter. May the miracle of Easter bring you renewed hope, faith, and great joy. Have a wonderful holiday!
Kindergarten - Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday, celebrates Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, welcomed by crowds waving palm branches and shouting "Hosanna". It marks the start of Holy Week, celebrating Jesus as a humble king who came in peace to save, rather than a powerful soldier.

Stage 1 - The Last Supper
The Last Supper was a special Passover meal Jesus shared with his twelve closest friends (the disciples) the night before he died. He used bread and wine to teach them to remember his sacrifice, promising to always be with them. Jesus also washed their feet to teach them that serving others is the greatest form of love.

Stage 2 - Garden of Gethsemane
The Garden of Gethsemane was a peaceful olive grove where Jesus went to pray. Feeling deep sorrow, Jesus prayed to God about the hard path ahead, ultimately choosing to trust God's plan to save the world, showing us how to trust God even when we are scared.

Stage 3 - Good Friday
Good Friday is the solemn, holy day we remember Jesus dying on the cross to save us from sin. While it is a sad day, we call it "Good" because it was the ultimate act of love, opening heaven for us. It is a day for quiet reflection, fasting, and gratitude before the joy of Easter Sunday.

Project Compassion
Thank you to everyone for your support during Lent of our fundraising efforts for Caritas. Our Mini Vinnies have led the way with efforts in the Easter Guessing competition and Free-hat Friday. Well done team! If your family have your own Project Compassion box at home, you can return these to the school at the start of term 2 and we can forward them on for you.
