Principal's Message

Magis 2033 Strategic Launch – A New Chapter for Sydney Catholic Schools
On Tuesday 24 February, our Leadership Team had the privilege of attending the official launch of Magis 2033 at Waterview, Homebush. This inspiring strategic vision sets the direction for Sydney Catholic Schools over the next seven years, grounded in a deep commitment to faith, excellence and service.
The launch reaffirmed our shared Mission to provide a Catholic education that is faith filled, academically excellent, and accessible to all. We were guided through the Vision of forming the whole person, mind, heart and spirit while nurturing a love of truth, beauty and goodness.
Magis 2033 is shaped by three core Values:
Wonder – cultivating curiosity and seeing God in all things
Wisdom – seeking understanding through faith and reason
Witness – living compassionately and authentically in service to others
We also explored the Ways of Proceeding, Discernment, Service and Accountability which will guide decision making and leadership across our schools.
The strategy focuses on three key areas:
Integral Formation for Human Excellence
Schooling Excellence Accessible to All
Stewardship Excellence for Mission
These priorities will unfold across three strategic horizons from 2026 to 2033, with regular reflection points to ensure our schools continue to grow as vibrant centres of learning, faith and hope.
It was a privilege to represent our community at this significant event and we look forward to bringing the spirit of Magis 2033 into our daily work with students and families.
Welcome to Our Open Day – Catholic Schools Week 2026
We look forward to welcoming all families to our Open Day tomorrow from 9-10am as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2026. This special week invites us to pause and recognise the heart of our mission at St Anthony’s, faith‑filled learning, service to others and a commitment to helping every child shine. Schools everywhere are marking the week with Masses, community service and celebrations of learning and we are proud to join in that spirit.
Tomorrow’s Open Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to see our classrooms in action and experience the warm, welcoming community that makes St Anthony’s so special. We also extend our thanks to our Year 6 tour guides, who showed prospective families around the school with confidence and pride. A special mention to Stella the Star, who was an absolute hit with the children and added a joyful touch to the open day sessions.

Visit from Principal of Marcellin College Randwick, Mr Mark Woolford – Years 2 to 5 Parents
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr Mark Woolford, Principal of Marcellin College Randwick, for visiting St Anthony’s on Thursday 19 February to speak with our prospective families. His presentation offered a wonderful insight into the opportunities and culture at Marcellin College and we are grateful for his time and generosity. A special thank you also goes to Henry one of our former students for sharing his personal experiences and reflections. Hearing directly from an ex‑student added so much value to the session. Thank you to all the families who attended.
Communication with Teachers
A reminder that all parents must email teachers via the school email info@staclovelly.catholic.edu.authis gets forwarded to each teacher. A teacher is unable to reply to emails or phone calls during school time, as their main priority is the education of your children and every teacher has a duty of care for their students. If a message is urgent please call the school office for the message to be communicated to the teacher as soon as possible.
With Sympathy
We offer our thoughts and prayers to Mrs Jodie McInness, who lost her father John on Sunday. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family at this sad and very difficult time. May eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
