Four Weeks To Go!

The end of the year is approaching quickly,  Christmas will be here before you know it!  Teachers are continuing to finalise end of year reports.  There will a notice coming soon to book in your final Student Support Group meeting of the year.  Although there are lots of camps and other special activities planned in the final four weeks of the term, we are maintaining our programs and routines right up to the end of the year.  This supports us to maintain an orderly environment at an exciting time of the year so that students can continue learning right up to December 20th.  We'll have our final assembly of the year on December 20th, I hope to see you there.

Sun Smart Reminder

This past week has seen the arrival of hot weather and extreme UV conditions.  Naranga has had a Sun Smart campaign this term to remind our students of the dangers of being in the sun without sun protection.  Teachers have spoken to students in class about how stay protected from the sun, we've had signs put up as reminders and on some days, students may receive an icy pole if they turn up for outdoor play with a hat.  Please reinforce these messages with your children so that they are hearing a consistent message from both home and school.  Evidence is showing that young people today are not as aware of the dangers of sun exposure as they were in the past.   Let's work together to ensure that we are educating all of our young people on how to stay safe outdoors.

School Saving Bonus

Please take note of the information in this newsletter about the School Saving Bonus in term 4.  All Victorian students will receive $400 in support to use for 2025 school costs.  You can use these funds to assist in covering the cost of camps, excursions, uniforms, supplies or school programs.  You will receive an email from the Department of Education in November with details on the bonus.  If you haven't received an email by November 29th, please get in touch.
